Legal Literacy Programme for Tribals :  KELSA in association with Shreyas Social Service Centre and TLSC Bathery conducted a Legal Literacy Programme for the Welfare and Legal Upliftment of Tribals in Wayanad on 22nd Januray 2011 at Shreyas Auditorium, Bathery..  The Programme was inaugurated by Hon'ble Mr. Justice C.K. Formation of Student Legal Aid Club and Legal Awareness Seminar :  Taluk Legal Services Committee in association with Bar Association, Cherthala formed Student Legal Aid Club in Pattanakkad Block Panchayath .  Sri. Workshop on Employees State Insurance & Employees Provident Fund :  KELSA in association with Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry conducted a workshop on Employees Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1952 and Employees State Insurance Act 1948 on 29th January 2011 at Thiruvananthapuram to help the Business Community.    Sri. National Seminar on Trans Genders and the Law :  National Legal Services Authority & Delhi Legal Services Authority jointly conducted a National Seminar on TRANSGENDERS AND THE LAW on 5th February 2011 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.  Transgender women and male require   understanding and Support of the Government, health care, professionals, general public as well as their family members.  We need to understand and accept that humans are diverse.  People have the right to be what they are and they want to be;  the same holds true for transgender people.  Hon'ble Mr. Justice C.N. Sensitization Programme on Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2005 :  KELSA in association with Kerala Judicial Academy and Social Welfare Department organized a Sensitization Programme on Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2005 on 12th February 2011 at Kerala Judicial Academy Hall for the benefit of Judicial First Class Magistrates, Protection Officers and other stake holders under the Act. LEGAL LITERACY CAMP : Kerala State Legal Services Authority (KELSA) in association with Shreyas Social Service Centre, Kozhikode Region and  District Legal Services Authority, Kozhikode organised a ONE DAY LEGAL LITERACY CAMP on 26.02.2011 at Mar Baselios Training Centre, Eangapuzha.  Hon'ble Mr. Justice P.S. Gopinathan, Judge, High Court of Kerala inaugurated the function.  Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Thomas rendered the keynote address.  Sri. P. Legal Aid Clinic for People affected with HIV: Kerala State Legal Services Authority (KELSA) and Kerala State Aids Control Society (KSACS) launched Legal Aid Clinic for People affected with HIV and conducted a workshop for Hon'ble Judges of High court of Kerala and Judicial Officers in Ernakulam with respect to HIV, AIDS and its legal aspects.   Hon'ble Justice Sri. Jasti Chelameswar, Chief Justice of High Court of Kerala and Patron- in-Chief, KELSA inaugurated the launching of Legal Aid Clinic and workshop. Hon'ble Justice Sri. C.N. Rehabilitation of  Tamil Speaking mentally ill Patients: : Hon'ble Mr. Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan, Judge, High Court of Kerala with special reference to the report made by KELSA in O.P. No. 1667/1996(S) issued an order allowing the institution 'Kanivu Charitable Society' for transiting 20 Tamil speakig mentally ill patients to a charitable institution at Chennai by Name Udhavumkarangal as part of their rehabilitation.  They were sent on 8th March 2011 by Alleppey-Chennai Express.  The Officials of Tamilnadu State Legal Services Authority(TSLSA) have received them from Central Railway Station, Chennai and they were accommodated at Udhavumkarangal.  The TSLSA will oversee their rehabilitation and try to find out their relatives for entrusting them.

Promotion of Women Empowerment and Rights, to End Violence against Women in the State of Kerala : Kerala State Legal Services Authority (KELSA), People's Council for Social Justice(PCSJ), Indian Medical Association(IMA) & National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) conducted a State Level Dialogue Between Legal Fraternity & Medical Fraternity on Domestic Violence & Women Empowerment under the project " Promotion of Women Empowerment and Rights, to End Violence against Women in the State of Kerala" supported by NALSA on 6th March 2011.  Hon'ble Sri. Justice Cyriac Joseph, Judge, Supreme Court of India inaugurated the function. Hon'ble Sri. Justice C.N. Ramachandran Nair, Judge, High Court of Kerala and Executive Chairman, KELSA presided over the function.

World Environment Day :  KELSA in association with Kerala Forest Department celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2011.  Sri. Tony Chammani, the worshipful Mayor of Kochi inaugurated the function in the meeting presided over by  Justice K. Sukumaran.  Sri. P. Mohanadas, Member Secretary, Kelsa welcomed the gathering.  Dr. Induchoodan, Wild Life Warden rendered the keynote address.  Dr. U.K. Gopalan, Environmental Scientist proposed the vote of thanks.  The programme was followed by cultural activities of students of Toc-H School and the inmates of Sri Narayana Sevika Samajam.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities : KELSA in association with Sarva Siksha Abhiyan   celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3rd December, 2011 at Changampuzha Park, Edappally.  About 200 disabled children participated in the programme.
